The Geneva Push summit is on Tuesday 29th to Wednesday 30th September. About 25 leaders from around the country are going to be gathering to talk about what's already happening around the country and what we can do to accelerate that, by God's kindness.
Over the two days, Al, Andrew and myself will be preaching through Ephesians 1-3.
I've got Ephesians 2.

Sounds great.
I'm just not getting the name though. My mind goes to the labour ward. Can you just explain it 1 more time. Slowly:-)
And "In the Chute"? What Chute? Parachute? Is this jumping out of plane stuff.
Al is older than me so I'm not going to plead old age here! Forgive me if this is explained somewhere else and I'm the only person in Australia confused.
I must admit I wasn't in the room when the name was settled on.
But!
'The Geneva Push', while it may be a popular midwifery term, is here referring to a renewed effort to see the kind of Reformed church planting influence that Calvin's Geneva had in the Century. 'Push' in the sense of 'drive forward'.
'In the chute' meaning, in the slide down towards actually planting a church - "one the way"...
would be interested to hear what you think Eph 2 might have to say in relation to planting homogenous churches?
Thanks Mikey.
And I join in Shane's question.
@Shane and Al - I don't think it'll have anything to say in my sermon on Tuesday.
I am wary of the extremes of HUP churches, but equally wary of those who expect every local church to demonstrate some certain presupposed kind of diversity.
