Every time you go to a gas station, leave a tract in the credit card slot at the pump. The next person will have to take it out to put his credit card in, and will appreciate having something to read while he's filling his gas tank.... Every time you go to the grocery store, discreetly go down the beer aisle, placing tracts in the top slot in beer cases.

Haha thats awesome

I love reading material so even though it sounds overzealous and weird to leave it in a petrol pump, I'd love to read something during those boring moments refueling the car! So if some places are too weird are there 'correct' places to leave tracts? I think the final answer is part cultural part Kingdom mandate. As Christians we are both in the world, listening and responding to it's culture but we are also distinct from the world, carving out our own path. So I think occasionally Christian tracts in weird places is a good thing but we should mix it up and thinkabout putting them places people might be bored or interested in reading them.
(What's "The Way of the Master"?)
I avoided tracts like the plague before I was a Christian. Perhaps I was unusual ;)
I used to leave tracts around (in magazines in Doctor's offices and Hair Stylists')...in my case (not saying this is the norm) it was because I was too timid to "confront" people. It could be that this was a good step in learning to be concerned about evangelism.
I want to be able to say, with Paul, I am guilty of the blood of no man: through my behaviour, words and life. For me, that means being more bold and led by the Spirit in personal encounters/relationships. Now, I prefer using tracts as a follow-up to conversations.
Is Jesus the master? When did he leave tracts at petrol stations and grog shops?
@ Luke - the Way of the Master is an evangelistic training course by Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron (yes that Kirk Cameron). It's pretty popular atm.
@ Marmie - great thoughts!
I don't mind the wackiness of WOTM in many ways. But what I don't like is it's tendency towards an earnestness that doesn't see how wacky it's being! Also the writing style gives the impression that their way is the best way.
' discreetly go down the aile' why?
its almost a ninja stealth operation
