Good advice. I'm not having a go at that guy in particular... this is just a vibe thing... but up here there's always cautions and warnings (this comes in the context of me having just watched the John Woodhouse vid too).
It can produce a culture which is very critical, suspicious and niggly. So, please don't get me wrong - the guy's advice is true, but...

But you know, what I reckon people up here need to hear is not "beware of this new trendy stuff from America" or whatever but rather:

It's the positive that makes all the difference.
I agree Bron. I suppose if I'd felt the warnings were overly reactionary I probably wouldn't have linked to them.
I have been impressed with the tone of these cautions, none have sounded reactionary or niggly.
But yes. Be yourselves is excellent advice, as is 'steal from a lot of people rather than a few'!
