I was preaching @ MYC this week and Nikki was @ home with the kids.
It was a tough week with the kids and maybe Nikki feels she wasn't supermum.
But sometimes the awesome thing is just standing your ground and doing the job. And she did. I came home to a clean house that was not burned down and two happy kids, neither of whom were strangled. That, as far as I'm concerned, is a mighty feat.
Moreover, although I knew she was having a tough time, I still felt supported while I was away. She didn't make me feel guilty about being away for the week but encouraged me in my ministry.
Hard week with the kids

Like.
You've got a good one there Mikey that's for sure. She even had time to listen to me whine!
She IS awesome.
For the last few days since I've left the hospital, I've had visits from the early discharge midwives. These women are like the special forces squad. I was thinking today how once day Nikki would make an awesome one of them :)
Having a wife that is supportive of your ministry is so important.
It sounds like you have found a good one.
Reading this post also reminds me of how good my wife is, I am usually out at least one night a week, sometimes doing "ministry stuff" and some nights just playing with friends, but every time I come home I find my two kids fed and sleeping and a wife that has not stopped working all day long!!
She is a great woman!!
Luvya Babe!!
C!
Bron, I reckon there must be a difference between sydney baby taskforce ladies and hobart child health nurse visitors! I've never found it helpful!
Cath and I were saying the other day that someone should start a business being post-baby taskforce ladies (do all your cleaning, cooking, babysitting, errands etc) add all the medical stuff to it and we'd pay up big!
Hope you're getting heaps of time just hanging with Maisy, its so important and special.
